Puron® Refrigerant

special instructions:

  • Always include ® with the Puron® refrigerant logo.

  • When referencing Puron® refrigerant in communications materials, always refer to it as Puron® refrigerant.

Hybrid Heat

spot colors: Pantone 362, Pantone 376, Black

special instructions:

  • Always use HYBRID HEAT® in all caps or bolded Initial Caps or other very distinctive type face to set it apart from the rest of the font. Use the circle-R. Never use the words in all lower case and same font as everything else.

  • Use HYBRID HEAT® as a trademark, not as a descriptor of the characteristics of the system. Thus, the preferred use would be "HYBRID HEAT® dual fuel system" or "HYBRID HEAT® system."

  • Carrier has the ability to protect the words HYBRID HEAT® to the extent they are being used as an identifier of the source of the product (which is what a distinctive mark does) but no ability to protect against use of the words in a descriptive sense. Thus, if a competitor advertises its "HYBRID HEAT® dual fuel system" (notice the ALL caps treatment) Carrier can object, but if it advertises its "hybrid heat system" there is nothing Carrier can do because the words are merely being used in the ordinary descriptive sense.

  • As much as it is practicable to do so, avoid saying "Carrier HYBRID HEAT®" but say "HYBRID HEAT® dual fuel systems by Carrier". Linking the Carrier and HYBRID HEAT® marks together is bad practice. NEVER say "Carrier's HYBRID HEAT®" (note the possessive use of Carrier) as that implies that other companies have HYBRID HEAT® too.

NATE logo
NATE Logo

In general, the NATE-logo used should always be the one showing an ® to designate that NATE is a registered mark.  You may use the name of your company with these in wording such as "(Your company name) supports…"

Logos may be reproduced in any reasonable size as long as exact proportions are maintained. (Uses: business cards, ads, yellow pages, truck signs, etc.) For use on business cards, we ask employers to place the logo next to the name of the technician and not the business, since it is the individual we certify-not the business. When the logo is printed in color, use PMS-268 purple and PMS-115 gold.

If you wish to use our logo in a manner not specifically covered by these guidelines, please contact our headquarters office directly:
